  • Manually changing in the session to 125% produces blurriness.
  • Reverting the VDA from 1912 back to 7.15.6 and the problem disappears, no blurriness and scaling works.

    • Solution

    This behavior is to be expected.
    In 7.15 there was no DPI support, so DPI on the VDA was not tracked or modified by the VDA.
    In later versions from 7.16 onwards, DPI support was added to the VDA with the intention to reproduce the same DPI experience on the endpoint on the VDA.

    To get this to work on Windows endpoint devices, users would need to set the DPI settings in Citrix Workspace to 'no'.
    1. To do this, right-click on the Citrix Workspace App icon in the system tray. Select 'Advanced Preferences'.
    2. You will see a new window appear. Select 'High DPI'.
    3. Here you will see you can change the settings to 'Yes', 'No' (which uses native resolution) or you can decide to 'let the operating system' decide.
    4. Select option 'No' and click save.
    5. Once you restart the workspace, users should see the same resolution in the VDA as seen on the endpoint device.
